Review Darstop's Terms of Service to understand how we protect your data, ensure safety, and deliver high-quality online classes for immigrant children in the USA.
Welcome to Darstop! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, applications, online classes, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"). By accessing or using Darstop, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any of the Terms outlined herein, you must discontinue use of the Platform immediately.
1. Overview
Darstop is an online educational platform offering a wide range of enrichment classes for children, including but not limited to IT Coding, Robotics, Qur’an Studies, Chess, Visual Arts, Phonics, Mental Arithmetic, Business Entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy, and SAT Preparation. These Terms apply to all individuals who use or access the Platform, including parents or legal guardians registering their children, students who attend and participate in Darstop classes, and instructors who teach or plan to teach via the Platform.
2. Eligibility
To access or use the Platform, users must be at least 18 years of age to register an account or enroll a child in any class. All users are required to provide truthful, accurate, and complete registration information, and to accept and comply with these Terms and Darstop's Privacy Policy. Minors under the age of 18 must use the Platform under parental or guardian supervision.
3. Account Registration and Security
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and ensuring their account activity remains secure and private. Any unauthorized access should be reported immediately to Darstop at support@darstop.com. Each student must have their own individual enrollment, and account sharing is not permitted. Darstop reserves the right to suspend, terminate, or restrict any account that violates these Terms or demonstrates inappropriate behavior.
4. Payments and Refunds
Payment for classes must be completed before the course begins. Accepted payment methods include credit card, PayPal, or other approved processors. Subscription-based courses may renew automatically unless canceled by the user. Refunds are available if cancellation occurs within the first seven days of the first month of enrollment. No refunds are given for mid-month cancellations, although future billing will be stopped. Refunds for missed classes are only granted in emergency situations approved by the instructor. To avoid unwanted charges, users must cancel at least 24 hours before the next billing cycle.
5. Code of Conduct
All users are expected to engage respectfully and responsibly on the Platform. Offensive language, bullying, harassment, or sharing inappropriate content is strictly prohibited. Students are required to follow instructor rules and notify instructors at least 24 hours in advance if they will be absent, except in emergencies.
Punctuality: Students are expected to join classes on time. If a student arrives late to a class, the teacher is not required to extend the session. The time spent waiting will be deducted from the total class duration. For example, if a student arrives 10 minutes late, only the remaining class time will be conducted. If a student is 15 minutes late or more without prior notice, the instructor has the right to cancel the class, and it will be considered missed without refund or rescheduling, except in cases of verified emergencies.
6. Class Recordings and Privacy
Certain classes may be recorded for quality assurance, instructor training, and playback for enrolled students. By using the Platform, users consent to recording. Those who wish to opt out must notify Darstop in writing before the class begins.
7. Intellectual Property Rights
All content, including videos, slides, digital materials, and worksheets, is the intellectual property of Darstop or its partners. Users may not reproduce, republish, distribute, or sell any materials without written permission. Student projects may be featured for educational or promotional use unless a parent or guardian opts out.
8. User-Generated Content
Users who submit content such as projects, feedback, or messages grant Darstop a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and publish that content. By submitting, users affirm they have the rights to do so and that the content does not violate any third-party rights.
9. Limitation of Liability
Darstop is not liable for technical failures, interruptions from third-party platforms like Zoom or Chess.com, or for any indirect damages such as lost data or educational opportunities. Although Darstop aims to provide a reliable service, uninterrupted access is not guaranteed.
10. Termination of Services
Darstop may suspend or terminate any account due to non-payment, violations of the Terms or Code of Conduct, or fraudulent activity. Users may close their account at any time by contacting support@darstop.com.
11. Amendments to These Terms
These Terms may be updated by Darstop at any time. Users will be informed through email or a notification on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after updates indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Pennsylvania, USA. Any legal disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in Philadelphia County, unless otherwise required by law.
13. Parental Responsibilities
Parents or guardians registering their children are responsible for supervising class participation, ensuring the child follows the Code of Conduct, and confirming that the technical setup meets class requirements. Parents are also expected to promote online safety at home.
14. Technical Requirements
To participate in classes, users must have a stable internet connection, a working microphone and webcam if needed, and use updated browsers or the Darstop app. Required apps or tools should be downloaded prior to class. Darstop is not responsible for user-side technical issues.
15. Class Cancellations and Rescheduling
If a class is canceled by Darstop or the instructor, users will be notified in advance and may be offered a refund or makeup session. Student absences without at least 12-hour notice (except for emergencies) are not eligible for refund or rescheduling. Rescheduling requests must be made at least 12 hours in advance and are subject to instructor approval.
16. Safety and Reporting
Users must report safety concerns or inappropriate behavior to support@darstop.com. Darstop may take action including user removal or, if necessary, report the issue to authorities. Parents are encouraged to review online safety practices with their children.
17. Third-Party Services and Links
Some classes may use third-party tools or platforms such as Zoom, Scratch, or Chess.com. Darstop is not responsible for the terms, policies, or issues associated with these services. Links to external resources are for user convenience and are accessed at the user’s own risk.
18. Free Trials and Promotions
Darstop may offer free trial classes based on availability. Discounts and promotions may have specific conditions and cannot be combined unless explicitly stated. Darstop reserves the right to modify or discontinue promotions without notice.
19. Feedback and Complaints
Feedback and complaints may be submitted via support@darstop.com. The Darstop team aims to respond within five business days and strives to resolve all concerns fairly and efficiently.
